Procedure and Fees for a portrait by Raymond Gendron
First step: Raymond Gendron discusses the nature and demands of the client, namely the following elements:
- Size of the portrait
- Attitude (formal or original)
- Clothing
- Background (outdoor, indoor, or special)
- Lighting
- Client's ideas and suggestions
Such a discussion may be in person, by telephone, or by e-mail.
Second step: Mr. Gendron visits the subject or can arrange to have the subject visit his workshop in Sorel-Tracy Quebec at which time numerous photographs will be taken. These photographs are then used to produce charcoal studies which form the basis of the agreement with the client and also establish the basis for the painting. Discussions are also encouraged during the development of the portrait to ensure an accurate understanding of the final product.
